Research has shown that deep breathing exercises can interrupt the overproduction of the stress hormone cortisol and adrenaline, which over extended periods of time can tax the body and brain and leave them susceptible to poor health. Deep breathing exercises are known to fight stress and anxiety, promote clarity of thought, and helps to relieve pain. It also helps you detox, improves energy, digestion, immunity and blood pressure! Exercises like yoga have been shown to help people in recovering from past trauma and manage mood disorders- not to mention, it's great for your physical health! This session asks the client to set an intention for themselves while learning two frames for breathwork using specific deep breathing exercises, and then moves through gentle and fluid movements of Hagah while utilizing visualization. This gentle form of Hagah, meaning "to ponder," uses physical elements such as those found in yoga, Pilates, stretching, balance, and functional neurology exercises. The client will need a mat for this session. This practice is gentle and slow-moving, centering around the breathwork. This can be done as an individual client (ages 13+), or with multiple clients (group size up to 20. Please contact Kate directly using the contact form at the bottom of the home page to book groups).
