ABOUT THE SESSION: Learn body-based techniques for living a full, embodied life through this experiential workshop, taking you on an intuitive somatic journey to benefit mental & emotional health and bridge the gap between mind and body. WHAT YOU'LL EXPERIENCE: - Techniques for emotional processing & identifying unmet needs - Bodily awareness & sensory tracking to reconnect with your body & ground in the present - Nervous system regulation - Group reflection & integration - Safe exploration of intuition, self-expression & imagination - Trauma & nervous system-informed facilitation BRING: - Yoga mat & water. By registering for this event you understand and agree to the following: - Somatic work is a body-centered approach that may include deep breathing exercises, physical movement, self-directed touch, and focused body awareness. I understand that this work is designed to help me connect with my body’s sensations and stress responses, and it may evoke strong physical, mental, or emotional experiences. - I explicitly understand that somatic work is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is also not a substitute for licensed psychotherapy or psychiatric care. The practitioner is not acting as a physician, therapist, or medical professional. - I affirm that I am physically and mentally fit to participate in these sessions. I will communicate with Kate ahead of time if I have any asthma, COPD, or other respiratory or cardiovascular conditions and will be cautious when practicing any breathing practices. Should I feel panicky, light-headed, or dizzy I understand it is my responsibility to stop participating in the breathing practice. - I understand that I am in full control of my body at all times during the session. I have the absolute right and responsibility to pause, modify, or stop any exercise, breathing pattern, or movement that feels unsafe, uncomfortable, or overwhelming. - I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation, including the risk of physical injury or emotional distress. I hereby release, waive, and hold harmless Kate Brennan from any and all liability, claims, or demands arising out of my participation in these somatic sessions.
