Hagah Movement Recovery Sessions

Trauma/emotional recovery through gentle bodywork, deep breathing, and brain exercises

  • 1 hour
  • From 45 US dollars
  • Outdoors, online or client's home

Service Description

"Hagah," a Hebrew word meaning "to ponder, to focus on" is all about becoming intentionally aware. Unlike other modalities, it does not incorporate Eastern religious teachings. Hagah teaches physical techniques while coupling them with proven tools for whole-body health such as breathing techniques and ways to manage stress. This session asks the client to set an intention for themselves while targeting emotional dysregulation or stored trauma, stress, and tension. The client will be led through mindfulness while learning simple breathwork using specific deep breathing exercises. We will then move through a series of positions, stretches, and brain exercises specifically targeting the vagus nerve and emotional recovery. This practice is gentle and slow-paced, centering around the breathwork and stretches while cultivating an inner awareness. Sessions can be done as an individual client (ages 13+ with parental permission), or with multiple clients (group size up to 20. Please contact Coach Kate directly regarding large groups). Sessions can be booked just once, or as needed. It is $85 for a private session and $45 for a group session. Sessions are 1 hour in duration. Modalities like Hagah have scientifically proven benefits including stress, tension and anxiety reduction and relief by calming the nervous system; triggering the vagus nerve and thereby aiding in trauma recovery; management and improvement of depression and mental health; pain reduction and reduces inflammation; improving quality of life during illness; stimulating brain function and preventing heart disease; boosting immunity and cardiovascular functioning; and aiding in healthy sleep!
