Coming Home to Coherence
A Heart-Centered Somatic Workshop, Aug. 8th at 1pm located at the Philosopher's House, Johnson City
Service Description
Do you feel like you are constantly stuck in your head, running on empty, disconnected from your own alignment and inner peace? Here's your invitation to take a break, step out of the rat race, and back into your body. Coming Home to Coherence is a heart-centered somatic journey that invites you to pause, drop into your body, and return to your natural state of safety. This workshop aims to empower you to step into coherence, harmonizing your heart, mind, and nervous-system for mental and emotional well-being. This is not just a quick meditation—it is an experiential immersion using body-based techniques to bridge the gap between your mind and your heart. What to Expect: Through gentle, heart-centered body-based practices, you will become aware of your body's sensations and learn to communicate directly with your nervous system and your heart's field using the language of the body. Together, we will explore: Heart-centered Coherent Breathing: Science-backed breath to halt the body's fight-or-flight response. Somatic Tracking: Guided internal awareness to safely release stored emotional tension. Heart-Focused Attention: using techniques to connect with the heart and foster gratitude and self-compassion. This shifts power away from anxious thoughts and down into the physical body. Resonant Movement: Micro-movements designed to open the chest, release the shoulders, and soften the protective armor around the heart. Restorative Integration: A closing somatic practice to help lock in your newly cultivated state of peace. Is This Workshop For You? This trauma-informed space is open to anyone looking to deepen their self-care practice. It will be especially supportive if you are navigating stress, feeling disconnected or "stuck in your head," seeking tools for emotional regulation, and you are ready to cultivate a deeper, gentler relationship with yourself and reestablish inner peace! Beginners are welcome. Bring: While mats are provided, please bring a towel. You'll want to wear loose or flexible comfortable clothing. Workshops are always nervous system and trauma-informed, led by Somatic Practitioner & Coach Kate Brennan. Register here to save your spot for $30! Space is limited. Takes place Saturday August 8th at 1:00-2:00pm at the Philosopher's House in Johnson City. TO BOOK: when booking, please click the "check next availability" button which will bring up August 8th.
